Leak Detection and Repair Rooted in Upland

Carlos Mendoza runs this leak detection and repair service from Upland with long-standing ties to San Bernardino County, focusing on the real conditions that affect homes and businesses here rather than generic approaches.

The Mediterranean climate brings hot dry summers that shrink soil around older pipes in neighborhoods such as Downtown Upland and College Heights, while mild winters and occasional rains can shift ground near the Foothill Boulevard District and San Antonio Heights, often leading to leaks that surface around landmarks like Memorial Park or the Historic Downtown Plaza.

We handle leak detection and leak repair calls across Upland and into nearby Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, and Claremont, working directly with the housing stock and terrain found in these communities.

I started this work after a slab leak flooded the kitchen in my own house near Historic Downtown Plaza. Seeing how the older homes throughout Downtown Upland and the Foothill Boulevard District often have mid-century galvanized lines that shift with the clay-heavy soil on the edge of the foothills, I decided to focus on Leak Detection and Leak Repair right here instead of commuting to jobs in Rancho Cucamonga or Ontario. The Mediterranean climate means heavy summer irrigation can mask slow leaks until they surface near Memorial Park or in San Antonio Heights, while the mild winters let corrosion continue unchecked in College Heights properties. I still handle every call myself and keep the shop open Monday through Friday 8am–6pm and Saturdays 9am–2pm.
